Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given strict instructions to the relief work while taking cognition directly from Mauritius, to the horrific accident of boiler break in the NTPC (National Thermal Power Corporation) power plant located at Nahachhar in Rae Bareli. He has also instructed to provide free treatment for the injured. So far 20 people have died and over 90 injured in the incident.
Chief Minister Yogi called the principal secretary home Arvind Kumar and took information about the incident and instructed him to take immediate action. While expressing deep sorrow over the accident, the Chief Minister announced a compensation of Rs two lakh to the survivors of the victims, 50-50 thousand to the seriously injured and Rs 25-25 thousand for the minorities in the incident. Governor Ram Naik also expressed deep anguish over the death of the people in the fierce tragedy, and wished the wounded to be soon recovering.

According to the Principal Secretary Home, NDR team has been sent to UnaHaHa for relief work. The Chief Minister has instructed all the injured to provide quick and free treatment. Along with this, it has asked to keep full alertness in relief work. In this order, Chief Secretary Rajiv Kumar has given strict instructions to Principal Secretary Medical and other senior officers. After the instructions of the CM, senior officials came into action. Commissioner Anil Garg, IG Janarayan Singh and Additional Director of Health Department have reached the spot.
In addition to Rae Bareli, alerts have been issued in hospitals in Allahabad and Lucknow so that immediate treatment can be made available to the injured. Officials of Rae Bareli and police officers are engaged in relief work on the spot. It has been instructed to bring SGPGI Lucknow to seriously treat the injured. Minister Swami Prasad Maurya and Suresh Khanna have reached the Rae Bareli and took stock of the situation. The principal secretary has confirmed the death of 20 people late at night.

According to Anand Kumar, ADG law and order, 22 people seriously injured in the accident have been brought to different hospitals in Lucknow for treatment. Whereas, 15 seriously injured patients are being treated in Rae Bareli. NTPS officials told him that some patients have also been sent to some patients in Allahabad. Attempts are being made to find out their numbers.
The incident happened: According to the ADG law and order Anand Kumar, the accident is between mid-five to five p.m. on Wednesday evening. Initial investigations have revealed that the ash of fire burning under the boiler could not get out of the pipe. Due to the gas pressure in the ash pipes, the pipes and boilers were strongly blasted. A few days ago a new boiler was installed. The police has surrounded the area in which the incident took place and the injured are being sent to the hospital for treatment. NDRF team is also involved in relief work.
Minister will visit the accident site: Central Energy Minister RK Singh and State Power Minister Srikant Sharma will visit the accident site at 12 noon on Thursday. Meanwhile, Sharma has directed the officers of the Power Generation Corporation to scrutinize the security of boilers etc. in the state's power houses so that there is no fission of any kind of accident. It is notable that with the high pressure, the temperature of the boiler is more than 540 degrees Celsius.
Rahul Gandhi: Rae Bareli Congress spokesman Amethi Anil Singh told that Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi will arrive at Fursatganj at 8 o'clock on Thursday morning. From here, he will go straight to the elevation. Meet the people of the people who lost their lives in the accident and expressed condolences.
170 MW supply affected: With the burgeoning blow, the state has stopped getting power of about 170 MW from the thermal power station of NTPC situated at Nahachhar. Power Corporation officials said that the state has one-third share in the 500 MW unit. Since the weather has cooled down, despite the non-availability of 170 MW electricity, the people of the region will get electricity from the scheduled schedule.
Order of inquiry given by NTPC: NTPC management has ordered to investigate the incident. The causes of the incident will be detected in it. This information was given by NTPC Additional Director General (Media and Communication) Rajesh Malhotra. He told that NTPC has taken all necessary steps in collaboration with the district administration for the relief and rescue work immediately after the incident. NTPC management is standing with the victims of this incident and their families.
Demand for proper compensation: Congress demanded proper compensation to the victims, with a high level inquiry into the power plant accident in Uchahar in Rae Bareli. In addition, in-charge of the charge of Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Vice President Rahul Gandhi, incharge General Secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad and state President Rajbabar will go to Uehachhar on Thursday. State President Rajbabber expressed grief over the incident and said that Congress workers are busy spreading every possible help to the victims. He said that from the incident Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi are extremely unhappy and with the families of the victims.
Demand for high level inquiry: Samajwadi Party's main spokesman Rajendra Chaudhary said that everyone has sympathy with victims of the accident. In addition to proper treatment to the injured, the government should arrange for immediate financial assistance to the victims families. Former minister and senior SP leader Shivpal Yadav demanded a high level inquiry into the incident and expressed grief over the incident.
